Each SM Digital Ventures product is developed as a distinct platform for its intended audience, with separate experiences, purposes and safeguards. EduCare and Ember are separate products serving different audiences: EduCare is a parent-controlled learning platform for Grade 4–7 learners and families, while Ember is a dating and social networking platform intended for adults.
Founder's Challenge
As part of the EduCare Founding Class of 2026, eligible Western Cape learners can work toward the 1,500 XP Founder's Challenge and stationery-kit recognition, subject to programme eligibility and availability.
Parent or guardian confirmation remains a separate step. The Founder's Challenge is not a bursary, scholarship, cash award or school admission programme.
Grades 4–7 learners and families using EduCare in 2026 form the Founding Class. No XP threshold to join.
Guided AI support, practice activities and micro-quizzes build verified Lifetime XP as learners work.
The Founder's Challenge threshold is 1,500 verified Lifetime XP. XP is not deducted when a learner qualifies.
Stationery-kit recognition for eligible Western Cape learners, subject to programme eligibility and available allocations.
