The EduCare Founding Class of 2026 brings together Grades 4–7 learners and families using EduCare during our first year, as we learn, improve and build the platform together.
Joining the Founding Class does not require reaching 1,500 XP — it is open to families using EduCare in 2026, and is broader than the Founder's Challenge.

EduCare Founding Class of 2026
Founder's Challenge Certificate of Recognition.
Eligible Grade 4–7 learners across South Africa who reach 1,500 verified Lifetime XP may qualify for an EduCare Founder's Challenge Certificate of Recognition, subject to eligibility and verification.
- • Qualifying learners may also receive a free stationery kit, subject to eligibility and availability. The stationery kit is separate from the certificate.
- • Personalised certificates will carry a unique Certificate ID once EduCare’s certificate verification system is activated.
The Founder's Challenge is a recognition programme. It is not an academic qualification, school award, bursary, scholarship, cash prize or guarantee of any educational opportunity, and it is not endorsed by any school or government department.
The certificate shown is a sample preview. Personalised certificates are issued only after qualification is confirmed.
Founder's Challenge
Recognising learners who keep going.
As part of the EduCare Founding Class of 2026, eligible Western Cape learners can work toward the 1,500 XP Founder's Challenge and stationery-kit recognition, subject to programme eligibility and availability.
Parent or guardian confirmation remains a separate step. The Founder's Challenge is not a bursary, scholarship, cash award or school admission programme.

Guided AI support, practice activities and micro-quizzes build verified Lifetime XP as learners work.

Reach 1,500 XP
The Founder's Challenge threshold is 1,500 verified Lifetime XP. XP is not deducted when a learner qualifies.

Introducing EduCare through trusted communities.
SM Digital Ventures is beginning the EduCare Founding Class of 2026 rollout by engaging schools, parents and community organisations.
Our approach is to demonstrate EduCare first, answer questions and work with interested schools to explore small, school-supported introductions for Grades 4–7 learners and their parents or guardians.
Parents remain in control of their children's EduCare accounts.
