Part of the EduCare Founding Class of 2026 — a recognition programme for learners who put in consistent effort on EduCare.
The initiative
Effort, recognised.
As part of the EduCare Founding Class of 2026, eligible Western Cape learners can work toward the 1,500 XP Founder's Challenge and stationery-kit recognition, subject to programme eligibility and availability.
Qualification is based on 1,500 verified Lifetime XP earned through learning on EduCare. XP is not deducted when a learner qualifies, and parent or guardian confirmation is a separate step.
Who it's for
Eligible Western Cape learners in Grades 4–7 who are part of the EduCare Founding Class of 2026.
The threshold
1,500 verified Lifetime XP, earned through guided learning, practice and micro-quizzes on EduCare.
Recognition
Stationery-kit recognition and a certificate, subject to programme eligibility and available allocations.
Joining the Founding Class
Joining the Founding Class of 2026 does not require 1,500 XP — it is open to Grades 4–7 families using EduCare.
Please note: the Founder's Challenge is a recognition programme. It is not a bursary, scholarship, cash award, funding or school admission programme, and it is not endorsed by any government department. Recognition is subject to eligibility and available allocations.
Recognition
Certificate of Achievement.
Learners recognised in the Challenge receive a certificate issued by SM Digital Ventures, identified by a unique Certificate ID for future verification.

Grades 4–7 learners and families using EduCare in 2026 form the Founding Class. No XP threshold to join.

Learn and earn XP
Guided AI support, practice activities and micro-quizzes build verified Lifetime XP as learners work.

Reach 1,500 XP
The Founder's Challenge threshold is 1,500 verified Lifetime XP. XP is not deducted when a learner qualifies.
